Welcome back to Throwback Thursday and my second series revisiting the good good music of yesteryear. For this series, I chose to delve a little further back into my musical memory and have a look at individual tunes rather than whole albums. Change things up a bit, you know? I believe it was my friend and frequent ranter, Andrew Rodriguez that threw the year 1994 out there a few months ago. I’m not sure why but he did and it stuck with me, giving me lots of time to mull the year’s music over. Re-listening to these tracks almost made me long for flannel shirts, 8-hole docs, and my long hair. Okay, maybe not the long hair. I’m too lazy to take care of that nonsense anymore.
Please note: This will be the last Throwback Thursday post until 2015.

I love music. Music is and will always be my escape. The great thing about music is that I believe it has this power to transport you into this other realm, to your “perfect world.” It changes your mood. It gives you hope. It gives you life. Yes, that’s what music does for me.
So one of my favorite bands is Coldplay. The music performed by this band is a breath of fresh air. I am not exaggerating. One of the reasons why I adore Coldplay is because they have a song to match a mood or feeling that I am currently in or would like to be in.
So I went to my first Coldplay concert two years ago. It was in Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
It was an incredible experience. Chris…

It’s hard to believe it’s been over 20 years since his death. Time flies.
“I started work on this project eight years ago,” Morgen said in a press release. “Like most people, when I started, I figured there would be limited amounts of fresh material to unearth. However, once I stepped into Kurt’s archive, I discovered over 200 hours of unreleased music and audio, a vast array of art projects (oil paintings, sculptures), countless hours of never-before-seen home movies, and over 4000 pages of writings that together help paint an intimate portrait of an artist who rarely revealed himself to the media.”
