Spawn of Fridays show, March 28 at New York Pizza!

The Raving Knaves

Fridays was a pizza joint night club on Tate Street in Greensboro that closed in the early 80s, but there’s a local community of “reunionists” that carries on the tradition. And many of them have kids. And a few of those kids are now playing in bands on Tate Street.

And yes, the actual gig location is NEW YORK PIZZA, not Pizza King. And yes, the actual gig location is NEW YORK PIZZA, not Pizza King.

This gig (event page here) will feature a debut for one such spawn, Avalon Thornton Kenny, with her power trio Sorry Mom and the married debut of another, Stephanie Poole Elko, who drums with Dumpster. Additionally, we’ll have the amazing school kids of Stitches and Greensboro’s most charming band, The Broken Parts.
