R&B legend Percy Sledge, who was best known for his 1966 megahit, When A Man Loves A Woman (later covered by Michael Bolton), has passed away today at age 74 at his home in Louisiana. With his smooth tenor voice, Percy also scored hits with songs like Cover Me, It Tears Me Up, and Warm And Tender Love.

Rest in peace, Percy, and keep on singing in the afterlife.
