Google just released the most impressive piece of interactive content to come out on the internet in some time, “Inside Abbey Road”. To call this a “virtual tour” of London’s legendary Abbey Road studios is a huge understatement.
“For the first time ever, you can explore the studio and discover what goes on beyond these doors,” says the above video as it introduces you to the iconic yet mysterious studios, which are not open to the public.
Google combined hundreds of photos together to create a multi-room, 360-degree view of the three main studios, control rooms and mastering suites, through which Giles Martin (the son of famed Beatles producer George Martin) guides you with an audio tour describing the history and functions of everything in sight.
