Don’t like the legal agreement theFoo Fightersdemands you abide by when photographing their live shows? One Quebec newspaper decided to fight back?by sending a cartoonist instead of a photographer.
If you haven’t been keeping up with the controversy, theWashington City Paperrecently railed againsttheFoo Fightersfor asking for band approval of the photos before they ran in the paper, allowing the photos to run only once with the article about that specific show and for the band to retain all copyright and control over the images. This means that even though the paper would commission, pay for and shoot the photos, they wouldn’t own them.
