Unconditional, an album from Dallas rockers Memphis May Fire, has actually been out since March 2014, where it landed at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200. However, coinciding with the fact that these guys are among the headliners on the Vans Warped Tour right now, the album has been given the ol’ spit and polish and has been reissued with two new tracks and a couple of acoustic versions of songs that already appear on the record tacked onto the end of the thing. My first impression wasn’t too fond. The band combines basically metalcore breakdowns with a rock, almost pop punk formula. And I initially went, “Ugh. I’ve heard this done before.” However, get a few tracks deeper into the disc, and it grows on you. In fact, when you get to sixth track “Possibilities”, which is a lush, quiet ballad…
